{"id":262,"date":"2007-11-15T21:30:36","date_gmt":"2007-11-15T21:30:36","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"Planning_application_for_Edros_site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davidhealy.com\/?p=262","title":{"rendered":"Planning application for Edros site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A planning application has been lodged for the Edros site (beside Tower Hill and Balscadden Beach)&nbsp; in Howth.&nbsp;<br \/>\nApplication Ref F07a\/1349 was lodged on 22nd Oct.&nbsp; As the site is zoned<br \/>\nfor amenity use, the Council cannot normally grant planning<br \/>\npermission.&nbsp; However, at the Area Committee meeting today, the Planning<br \/>\nDepartment told us they were initiating a &quot;material contravention&quot;<br \/>\nprocedure.&nbsp; This means that the proposal is put on public display and a<br \/>\n3\/4 majority of the Councillors will be required to approve it.<br \/>\n <br \/>\nThe Edros site has been disused since the community based sports club<br \/>\nwhich ran it sold it to pay off its debts.
